Finally got to watch Friday's episode and I loved it. My favorite moment was definitely Paul's vows. Wow, those were beautifully written and CS delivered that perfectly. He's pretty good when he has strong material. Also, enjoyed that we have St Lukes back and a wedding with a full cast. Days has missed those recently. And that end was off the hook. I'm so excited for Ben's return and this wild ride that Ron is about to take us on. |

Yeah. She'd be Sonny's second cousin once removed, Abby's second cousin once removed, Paul's niece, and she used to be Chad's 1st cousin once removed. |

I have thought about this aspect of Adrienne and Sonny's mother/son relationship and have written that Adrienne's lack of fussing over Sonny should have make Justin and Sonny wonder what the hell has happened to Adrienne. We have only seen her being the center of her own universe and her not fussing over Sonny and Paul regarding this wedding is another red flag. When is Ron going to make Justin wake up and take notice that Bonnie has and is making a fool of him. I hate how Ron has chosen to write Justin and if I were Adrienne when I got back to Salem, I would be so angry with him and everyone else who honestly believed someone else could take over my life. Ron's statement that he is going with Justin and Adrienne as a couple going forward will probably not begin until the year 2020 the way this story is going. |

I watched a bit of this episode. I can clearly see that the writing is better and this would be the kind of episode I would want for characters I care about. But I don't give a rip about Chad and Abigail and although I like Paul I'm not invested in him with Sonny. I think it's sad that he is probably going to come out the loser. I wish they would have done something else with him. So I agree with anyone that things this was a good episode because it probably was, but I just don't care for the people that are the main story so I'll probably ff'd to the end to see the Ben reveal. |

Did anyone think the floor in St. Luke's is new. I seem to remember a slate looking floor. We haven't seen much of it in years but as soon as the camera showed the floor I thought it was new. |

Yes, I think you're right about the new flooring. If you skip to about 2:20 in this video, you can kind of see what it looked like in late 2013. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ur5Ad_rVTV0 |

I recommend trying anyway. I actively hate Chabby and think PaulSon are dull, but I really liked the episode. |

Late to the party, but I enjoyed this episode. Doug and Julie had some great moments but I hate that the actual scene of the new Doug's Place reveal got cut. Like what are the editors even thinking sometimes? The rest of the episode was just good old-fashioned soap. I missed the St. Luke's set so it was great to see it full with people who actually matter. I'm typically not a fan of double weddings, but it was clever to lump Chabby and Paulson's weddings together because it ties in literally the entire cast with only a few exceptions. Can't wait to see Ben on Monday! |

You know, I watch every day, the good, the bad, the ugly. I don't stop because I hate whatever, find so & so dull, despise a storyline. I do not want Days to end. And yes, I do find it hard to read that others do stop watching for whatever various reasons. Yes it is their choice. Yes it is their right. They can do whatever. Just hard for me to fathom, as a Days fan, that those who profess to like the show, choose to ditch it if something or other is going on that they may not like. And yes, I expect I will now be villified, mocked, scolded, just because I spoke out in favor of the show as a whole, not just a certain couple, storyline. But Days has been on shaky ground for a while now....and bragging about not watching or FF is not helping whatsoever. And yes, I really do watch every day, all the way through, no FF. |

The thing is, unless you're a Neilsen viewer, it doesn't really matter. I've tuned out before and every now and then I'll get to a point where I only want to watch 1 or 2 characters, but I mostly watch. But if people aren't enjoying and don't want to watch, they shouldn't feel obligated to. I don't watch for only one character or couple, but sometimes there are no characters I enjoy. I think it's pretty silly that I watch when I'm not enjoying it. I don't think bragging about watching the show as a whole does it anymore good that bragging about not watching does. IDK if you'll get vilified, mocked, or scolded now, but since that's exactly what you just did, you're right to expect it. ;) |

Idk if I would call it bragging when I mention that I haven't watched or that I skip certain scenes, but ok lol |

I wish more people would make the effort to watch the show as a whole (I always do, sometimes I'm not really paying attention, I'm playing with my phone but I don't use the FF button) but at the end of the day, it doesn't make a difference for the renewal chances unless you're measured by Nielsen. Maybe all the online views are measured because internet is different than TV but I'm not sure. Social media is huge nowadays, so many shows are competing for the same audience, they have to go look for these people so if you're actively promoting the show on facebook, twitter, tumblr, you're probably more valuable to the show than a regular viewer (not measured by Nielsen) because maybe your posts are reaching Nielsen viewers and encourage them to watch. That being said, there's an argument to be made for not watching the show when you think it's bad. If everyone kept watching no matter what, the ratings would not fluctuate and the people in change would have no incentive to make an effort to create a better product. However, the part that frustrates me sometimes is that some fans don't watch but have really strong negative opinions and are all over social media complaining how awful the show is. Usually, it's because so and so is no longer on the show. But again, you can't control what other people do, only what you do. I try to watch, promote and be positive about the show. When I think the show is really bad, I keep watching but stop promoting. Edited by Hugo, Oct 1 2017, 02:07 AM.

I tape the show everyday, I watch most of it but I do ff through some of it. There are just some things that get so repetitive and some storylines that start out good but drag on for to long and I lose interest. I have my favorites that I never ff through but there are some that just bore me most of the time. I do watch everyday and I don't want the show to end but FF is my friend sometimes lol |

I get it and I think I even felt that way at one point, but it's just such torture to watch and like Lysie said it's not helping anything for me to watch unless I'm a Nielson family which I'm not. I give you props for watching when I just can't even stomach it. I fully admit to being an Ericole shipper fan, but despite that I've tried to watch the show overall for a long time. And I watched VERY regularly when we didn't even have Eric on the canvas so I think I have some legitimacy as a viewer. To be really honest, it was the doppleganger story that caused me to stop watching...I just despise that story more than I can explain. I like the characters involved (Marlena/Adrienne), but despiste the concept. Maybe I can start watching regularly again in October. |
